Dog Handling

I have never thought about participating in JH competition- I was happy to handle dogs in show rings and thats all, that was important to me. I have started to be interested in JH competitions, when I bought my Borzoi. Then I made my decision- I want to try Junior Handling! I became a student of JH school and I am very gratefull to my first handling teacher Diana- she thought me the most important things, which I need to know perfectly.

My first JH competition was at 2008-08-03. It was Sighthound speciality show, where I was participating with my Borzoi and we took 2nd place in the middle age group. I was very happy. But in 2008 I competed just a few times. The real competeting started in 2009. I became a memeber of Lithuanian Junior Handling Club. I bought my Zwergschnauzer, which helped me to win my first time 1st place in the International dog show "Lithuanian Winner'09". I was very proud by him, but also- by myself. Then I understand, that I CAN win, I just need to try it hard, to study, practise. Then I tooked the 1st place a few times again...

Now I am training with dogs in dog trainer Ieva's handling lessons. BIG thanks to her- she gave me a chance to master a new level in my experience... Also, I am gratefull to my handling trainer Justina- she gaves me a lot of advices.

I need to do everything that I can if I want to became a professional dog handler. I hope that my dream someday will come true.
